White Space Explained + How to Get More of It

Do you ever have that feeling where you’re so overwhelmed, and the world is going so fast around you, that you kinda just burn out and stop. You can feel the time passing you by, but just exhausted by the amount of work you’ve taken on you don’t feel well anymore? I found myself in this position a lot over the past few months. I had taken on additional work and trying to over deliver on promises. My calendar was filled to the brim, each minute accounted for. Because if I was going to maintain thriving relationships, sustained peak performance at work, a good body through working out, and healthy pets who need attention and walks. I should have known that only have one to one and half hours to myself per day, which were usually taken up by eating dinner and watching some tv, wasn’t going to lead to a fulfilled life.

Improving Your Interpersonal Skills In 12 Actionable Steps

A lot is said about who we are by the way we conduct ourselves; not what we say

We "speak" through interpersonal methods every day. Agreeable dialog between business partners usually looks like both individuals displaying open posture and smiling at one other, signifying agreement and mutual respect. Commitment in a marriage can be reaffirmed by a sweet surprise, just because. A gesture such as this displays everlasting love and kindness. Even more obvious is embarrassment communicated through bright red cheeks and a clumsy verbal response.

Two Simple Journaling Practices That Will Jumpstart Your Day

My journaling template isn't much and it does not require much. Be open to the idea and with yourself so that you can reap as many benefits as possible from keeping a journal!

MY PERSONAL JOURNALING PRACTICE

MORNING: WAKE UP, WITHIN 10 MINS I'M SITTING AT MY DESK JOURNALING.

Pour a cup of coffee, let the dogs out - or whatever your morning routine consists of - and then sit down to write. Start with what you're grateful for.

Daily Gratitudes:

  1. I'm grateful for XYZ today and it's because of this reason and that reason and so and so on.

  2. I'm grateful and happy that I have XYZ in my life and that I'm able to give to QRS, etc.

  3. I'm grateful that the first two examples are likely enough for you to get the idea :-)

Five Powerful Benefits of Journaling + Tips to Get You Started!

The day I decided to start journaling was March 24th of 2017.  Finding myself in the midst of a major life decision that would take me from Texas to California and likely alter the course of relationships and the like for the foreseeable future.

As someone who strives to be optimistic and keep a level head at the same time, I found myself struggling to make sense of the emotions and thoughts that filled my mind. I needed a way to organize the mess and fast!
